Volunteer with Hamilton Sustainability Action Project (HSAP) and the City of Hamilton to smother invasive species in our community!

Join us for a "Periwinkle Smother" event! We'll be tackling a large patch of invasive Periwinkle by covering it with cardboard and wood chips to smother it. This patch has grown to an area of 350 square meters, preventing any native species from germinating in this area of the forest. Let's get rid of it! If you have them, please bring your wagons, wheelbarrows, tarps, five gallon buckets and anything else you have to help move 15 yards of wood chips! Gloves and shovels will be provided at the event but there will be limited wheelbarrows.
